It’s ok if you have a slim case or a smaller phone if you have a iPhone XS Max with a otter case and it’s to heavy. I position it where I like and the weight bring it down like 4 inches lower. Project does what it’s intended but not for some phone

You can't extend the length too much or it will collapse. Also need more of a squared surface to attach.
