I just finished putting all the Christmas stuff away and thought how I love these containers. So I looked up my order history and saw that I've had them for 12 years. I use them every year, and they're worth whatever I paid for them.

Many customers INCLUDING myself seem to love the concept & would continue to purchase as OUR collection grows BUT instead THE PRODUCT itself seems to be made with cheaper plastic which negates it's popularity. SNAPWARE should take a lesson from NEXTEL, WE all had them until we didn't.

This is a simple box, I'm surprised there are not more like it available. It seems logical in its design. I'm using it for Christmas ornaments, as suggested, but it surely has many options for crafts, etc. I have not had any problem with the latches breaking, or damage in shipping. For me, it locks and stacks well. It's an efficient use of space. I do think it's lacking some padding on the bottom (I have a lot of blown glass ornaments in them, but I didn't place those in the bottom compartment). I put in my own bubble wrap and tissue. And the dividers are cheap cardboard, not matching plastic. They shift and come apart a bit too easily, which I don't think they would if they were properly sized plastic. For those of you hyper-organized OCD-types, note that there are 9 opening in each compartment, so your standard 6 pack ornaments will be broken up and not kept all together on one shelf (a minor thing, but I considered this when buying). All in all it's a well-designed product. Only improvement that could be made is the dividers. I would buy again.

I have owned Snapware Christmas Ornament Storage Boxes for years and purchased them for grandchildren's ornament collections. They work beautifully. The individually layered boxes allow one to see, remove and re-store ornaments with ease. When snapped together, the box is easily stored and carried. Though the inserts are flexible cardboard, they offer protection and can be "flexed" to accommodate an unusually shaped ornament. This storage unit has held up very well since the item is really only handled before and after the holiday and stored carefully away. The seller ships very promptly. The only negative I found was that the storage box was shipped in its original production covering of a one layer corrugated cardboard box instead of being inserted into another box for protection from handling and cold. Bright fragile labels were on the outside box. Though I've received 7 boxes (over the past 4-5 yeaers) in excellent condition, my last storage box arrived with a broken corner to the top lid and box layer. The seller rep via Amazon promptly responded to my notice of damage and request for exchange, but came back to me stating that the item was no longer available and issued a credit. The item still appears on Amazon. The item is still offered by the selling vendor and other vendors. I was able to order this same $19.98 item from another vendor site (with shipping fee). Hopefully it will arrive better packaged and without damage.

I purchased 3 sets of these. I love that I was able to get the Christmas ornaments organized and condensed down to managable containers. I had to only give it 4 stars because of the cardboard dividers. I would have liked them to be sturdier and fit into the grooves that are made into the sides of the containers. I cut pieces of cardboard from the shipping box to lay in the bottom of each container, I felt like it needed the extra cushion. I had several containers that I did not need the dividers, so I cut those in half and inserted them diagonally into the 16 slots of another container to make smaller compartments for the small/thin ornaments, enabling me to put 32 ornaments in one container.If you are looking for a container to hold small, loose objects in separate compartments (like legos or beads) this will not work because the divider inserts are not secured and tight. If you have ornaments that you consider precious and could not risk them breaking, you will need to wrap those in tissue or bubble wrap before placing them in this container, but I was expecting that.

I had wanted to purchase these bins at Lowes before Christmas, but they were out of them by the time I decided to buy them. I read all of the pros and cons on the other reviews and decided to try them and just keep the drawbacks in mind. I'm happy with them, I bought two sets and was able to fit all of my tree ornaments in them without all of the usual tissue paper. Plastic dividers would have been nicer than the cardboard, but they still worked. I put strap around each of them before picking them up by the handle, as other users said the clips broke easily. The best thing is that I don't have to unpack every ornament just to get to the one I want. So, overall I am very happy with them and would recommend them.

I am overall quite pleased with this product. The cardboard dividers are not white as pictured, but are a regular brown cardboard color. It doesn't detract from the function; however, only the aesthetics.Really, the only problem I had with this product was the shipping. The first storage box arrived damaged because there isn't any protection offered by the cardboard box it is shipped in. The company ("Get Organized") provided excellent customer service and shipped another one very quickly and without question. The second one arrived even more damaged than the first. Between the two boxes I was able to collect enough usable pieces to make one whole storage box.If you don't mind taking your chances and ordering repeatedly through customer service, I would suggest this item for you. If you don't have patience, I would find another box from another vendor (not "Get Organized").
