Despite the headline, there's no fish in here. Just delicious black garlic.Not being particularly trendy, I had resisted the urge to buy black garlic for a long time after first hearing about it. I thought "Whatever. It's just another trend, like everyone drinking coconut water or what have you..." and went about my merry day. After a few videos popped up on my suggested feed, where folks were extolling the wonders of the stuff, I decided to do a bit of digging and watched a few dozen more videos, and read a few dozen articles. I'm kinda weird.After much consideration I decided to buy some. I had it shipped to my work, as I had a few folks I worked with who were pretty heavily into culinary exploration, and had not heard of it yet. HUGE hit. Only one person really didn't like it, but that person's now dead to me (just kidding... kinda...)I tried it, and MAN ALIVE this stuff is good. It hits with a mellow, robust garlic flavor, and brings in some serious umami, with some fruity notes (kinda reminiscent of liquorice, but not bad) and a smoked caramel sweet taste (not overly sweet, but had the TASTE of smoked caramel). The flavor was like a roller coaster across my palette, and I wanted to ride again. I told my dad about it, and urged him to buy some... He's also sold. This stuff's great.Enough rambling. It's super good, and you should probably buy some if you're here and undecided. Just don't eat a whole clove at once, unless you have that condition where all tastes are muted. I recommend taking a small piece and trying that, as this thing is a powerhouse of flavor which could easily overwhelm a person.

Every single "clove" of garlic in these jars are ideally shaped and look absolutely identical to one another. I feel like there is something fake about this product. Maybe it's black garlic puree pressed into a perfect garlic-shaped mold...the price felt weird to me too..kind of inexpensive compared to when I have purchased black garlic at the grocery store. These seem like the gummy bears of black garlic.I am impressed - after I wrote this review the company behind SoulMate offered me a full refund. Very greatful.

Soulmate peeled black garlic is by far the best I've had. Delicious flavor and great packaging too! The peeled version is so much handier and is a better value as more bulbs fit in the container. I also appreciate the fact that this organic product is produced right here in California.

I keep ordering this product because I really like the taste and the fact that it's organic and the health benefits of it. I had a problem with one of the cans but the seller contacted me right away and took care of it. Great customer service is always appreciated.

I have always had a penchant for black garlic but never have I bought this particular brand before they are truly delicious so sweet not many people know even what black garlic is this is a delightful resealable can that comes with a pull top and has a nice plastic fork included that you can tuck away inside the plastic jar where you can see the product inside so wonderful I love it I'm addicted and I keep sharing with Friends I know and they come to love it as well I definitely will be purchasing this again well worth it as stated and I'm so happy I hope you will be too and find my review helpful!

Had to try them. Don't really care for them too much. No ones fault- just not my thing. I wanted to like them as I need more fermented food in my diet. The flavor is just a little foreign to my palate.The seller was fine and they came in a nice resealable container with a little fork. :)
