SummaryTerrible movie is so terrible that it's one of my favorites to laugh at. If you've seen any of the Taken movies, this one is the best in terms of pure comedy! Not as funny as 90s Schwarzenegger movies like Commando, but it's up there in the same company.The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly:Part 1 - The GoodThe whole gang's back - Liam and his entire family: daughter, ex-wife and husband of ex-wife. Only now, it's in the States (SoCal, Valley and Santa Monica), and there's a new bad guy who doesn't get that Liam doesn't like it when one of his family members gets 'Tooken' (all rights reserved - I'm copyrighting that for a spoof comedy on the series).Part 2 - The BadThis movie is so amazingly bad, it's so good! First, if Forrest Whitaker is in the movie, you know it's bad. Visual Clue #1. Forrest Whitaker plays the good-guy Detective who's always one step too late, and has the most hilarious habit of playing with a rubber band during his scenes. I'm going to spoil the best part of the movie right here, so if you don't want to know before you see it for yourself, turn away now... in the final sequence where Forrest and Liam recap the entire movie because they know the audience is either too dumb to figure out what happened or they know they fell asleep or were doing other things for most of the movie, Forrest is so happy that the case has been closed that he goes into turbo-mode with his rubber band and very happily and very speedily turns the rubber bands around his wrists like a turbine. I had to rewind and play that back several times because it is hilarious seeing Forrest's goofy smile while furiously turning those rubber bands around his wrists. Then, the puts the rubber band around the case file signaling the case is closed, and he actually picks up a chess piece and starts fiddling around with that! Damn, that's comedy!The directing is also sub-par. Camera is too close to chase scenes and viewpoints are non-descriptive. For example, why do we need to see from the viewpoint of the concrete when someone is running? Doesn't make any sense. Just show the action and get out of the way, Director!Part 3 - The UglyPredictable bad guy - duh, it's the ex-wife's dude. Also, the daughter gets tooken again! How many times is she going to get tooken? You know she's going to get tooken too when she's in the van with the bad guy! Why is she in the van? She could be in the safe house where she would be safe. But she's in the van just to get tooken because that's what the script demanded. Hilariously bad.I love the fact that if you're a family member of Liam in this series, your life is hell because of Liam. Yeah he's good at getting you back, mostly after you've been tooken, but I mean, you gotta go through that hostage thing first. He's not good at preventing that from happening. Especially his daughter.I also love the way the Taken movies just end. After Liam 'takes them back' after they've been tooken, it just ends. That's the way bad movies should end. Just turn the camera off and walk away... and shake your head and laugh.
