Worlds of Wonder: A Coloring Book for the Curious Paperback – Coloring Book, March 30, 2021

What a beautiful book! This is my 4th book by Johanna and I am not disappointed! Nice, heavy paper which my glitter gel pens work wonderfully on, the right amount of detail, and on sale! The illustrations are beautiful and it's hard to choose what to color next. There are pages for every mood and pages to finish quickly, or color a little longer. I LOVE these books!! So, so cute and fun!!!

I am so happy that I pre-ordered this coloring book! I have always loved Johana Basfords illustrations and I have almost every previous book. I can't wait to sink my colors in this one it's adorable. Ivy and the Inky Butterfly was gorgeous!! I thought that one was my absolute best of hers but idk this is perfect. i hope I don't get too obsessed with this one because I was with Ivy, until it literally fell apart. I was seriously going to invest in the spiral bound book with this one since they do tend break apart easily, however, there wasn't any option to choose that format OR they were all presold out? So, back to my comparison to Ivy and the Inky Butterfly - the book tale was cute and when I saw the spoilers of Worlds of Wonder on YouTube I was excited and hoping this was as beautifully illustrated and without all storybook and words written on a lot of pages. Well I ❤️ this book. I'm very pleased and I can't stop looking at all the pages. This certainly did NOT disappoint and I'm sure its probably my absolute favorite one yet! It's like a hybrid of my older 2 faves put together: World of Flowers PLUS Ivy and Inky. JB's books were the very first adult coloring books I colored in as I began this as a hobby. Enchanted Forest 1st, then Lost Ocean. I didn't even realize for 2 years that there was a Secret Garden as well. I'm just so glad I discovered her work because it changed my life so much in a good way, and it's the reason why I have become an active artist once again. I started about 5 or 6 years ago and I started dabbling into painting and mixed media too now. My art was always a childhood love of mine, but I also owe my gratitude this rediscovery to my own children❤️❤️❤️. I really indulged them into art fun. They are getting older and I love them Sooo much for helping me to realize that creating isn't just for kids- it's such a gift that we can all rediscover again later in life into that part of yourself-your inner creative... or as I call it, "flow". After years of adulting it was a huge welcome treat for me. By teaching my daughters how to find that flow by showing them how to draw horses, or how to paint a tree, I got lost in the flow just as well.That's why I now indulge myself into Joanna Basfords books. Coloring her pretty floral and inky intricacies allow me to just sink in and enjoy the process. Coloring for me personally is an absolute essential part of my home life, bc it instantly relaxes me and relieves me to escape all my worries; even stress! Yep, coloring has also healed me from the inside out. even while going thru unbearable pain following the loss of loved ones, and some hard dark times, it has had a profound and positive impact on my life since I started. I read testimonies often about how much a hobby like this centers me. I feel at ease and peaceful, from the steady flow of creative energy that is put into the work process you don't think about too much junk anymore. It sort of melts away without even realizing it's happening. Hobbies can heal depression and anxiety, and in a time when so many still suffer from mental illness in this country this is so important to me to help others and spread the world. Thank you, Mrs. Basford, for creating and sharing your passion with us so that we can all achieve balance and our sanity! 😁💌🙏Also, this message is for For anyone who is just curious about what adult coloring is, or just getting interested in this hobby, it really does come with such a bonus on the side. One day suddenly, you just realize one day how a such a simple pastime of coloring can quiet the adult mind in minutes, no more running thoughts, no obsessive worrying about everything all at once- not as if that worrying will change the outcomes anyhow right? -😉 what you can get from it is mindfulness, and some quiet time which = bliss and so much less stressing like most of us tend to do. I compare it to other nice hobbies such as gardening, cooking or baking, drawing, painting.. And of course art journaling. Lol.. Oh, and... There is even a huge global community of other coloring fanatics to share ideas, be inspired, see some millions of other artists who share their talents online, watch tutorials, learn how to blend color combinations, how to choose a whole pallette or what products are the best. good luck to all those out their just beginning this adventure and to those who are savoring this World of Wonders book right now like I am, I cannot wait to see what amazing work that will begin to roll out in the next upcoming weeks online. I love this!!! Beautiful pictures! Really fun to color. The book and paper are really nice quality.

Worlds of Wonder is a delightful, whimsical, beautiful book. Recently purchased, I finally colored in my first page today and really enjoyed it. Every coloring page is different , some very detailed but not too detailed. I used Arteza and Prismacolor colored pencils and found that on this paper Prismacolor were easier to work with, but that’s just me. I’m waiting on Magical Worlds to be delivered. Can’t wait to see it, read illustrator was bringing back the world of Enchantia from Inky. Inky was far too detailed for me but beautiful , I was disappointed. Hopeful this new release will be something else to color. Johana Basford provides great, high quality always. Worlds of Wonder is no exception , a really fun book. The picture I colored today came out pretty.

I love this paper and the art work. Please stay away from doing double pages. I have never colored so much in any one book as I have this one. The artwork is beautiful, and I can't put it down.

My Mom’s favorite book so far, I am definitely ordering other versions for her, very talented designer.

I like coloring occasionally as a way to relax. This coloring book offers a lot of different images that encourage the use of multiple colors. I saw in other reviews that certain coloring media will leak through to the other side of the page, but I prefer using colored pencils or crayons (yes, crayons!), so I don't have that problem. I have to say the paper isn't perfect for crayons, but I'm not a perfectionist.My one criticism is the same that other reviewers made. I got the spiral bound version - the images go behind the spiral wires. If the artist was planning to offer it as a spiral bound book, why wasn't she mindful of where the wires would pass through the pages and design the images to stay away from that area of the page?Other than this one problem, it's fun and beautiful coloring book to use!

I am absolutely LOVING this artist’s work! It’s super cute & fun! I started out with the Christmas book first & fell in love! So I purchased 7 more. I also love the quality of the paper in these books! It’s really topnotch! I have used colored pencils, Stickles, Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter alcohol marker, an Ohuhu clear/0 blending alcohol marker, Glitter Kiss paste, gel pens, & even Folkart Extreme Glitter paint w/o any problems. I have used Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, Derwent Chromaflow colored pencils, Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, Caran D’Ache Pablo colored pencils & Black Widows colored pencils & they all have laid down so beautifully! My only regret is that I wished I had gotten Johanna Basford’s coloring books first & saved myself a lot of $$ bcuz I find myself only wanting to color in her books above all others! I most definitely, unequivocally, highly recommend this coloring book…. as well as all of her others! You will not be disappointed.
