A nightmare to assemble
This chair nearly caused a divorce! It was atrocious to assemble, particularly the back bar didn’t line up correctly to screw in easily. My husband was ranting about the poor quality versus the price and it was hard to disagree. But we got it together in the end and it looks ok now I’ve painted it. Wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable chair in the world and it doesn’t have a big rocking range which is disappointing….

Better quality than expected
Wasn’t sure what to expect from other mixed reviews. Assembly was ok with two people and a drill driver, probably fairly hard work for one person. Instructions aren’t as bad as I expected from the other reviews. If you can assemble IKEA stuff you can do these. Very comfortable to sit in, even for a larger person. Absolutely vile yellow colour, will be painting them immediately!! Quality of the wood was fine for both of mine, no sharp bits, splinters etc. I like that the arms are big enough to rest a cuppa on, looking forward to it warming up so I can read in the garden again.

A couple of Coon dogs and you're all set!
Purchased a couple of these for the decking. Be aware these chairs come as a flat-pack and require assembling, which is fairly straightforward. The timber used is fairly light, both in colour and weight, I'm not sure how long they would last if left exposed to the outdoor elements, so once assembled I gave them a couple of coats of clear wood preservative, I would also recommend a rainproof cover when not in use. The chairs are also very WIDE, so bringing them indoors every night is NOT an option! Another point, the chairs 'rockers' (the actual curved bits at the bottom that rock), are not made of a solid piece of wood, rather they are made from blocks of timber pressed and glued together then machined to shape (as are the armrests) - not ideal I would have thought given the rockers are the bit taking the most abuse. Anyway, a problem I had was that one of the glued joints started splitting and coming apart after just 3 weeks, right where the coupling bolt attaches the rocker to the front leg. I contacted the vendor though and they sent me a replacement rocker arm which I'll keep til the original finally gives way. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the chairs, they look very smart and seat well, although they are balanced slightly towards the front meaning if you're tall or long-legged like me you need to lean well backwards to actually rock the chair.** Update - Have these chairs less than a year now, but despite treating them with wood preservative and wintering them indoors they are coming apart! The 'rockers' have split and broken into a number of pieces in both chairs and I am resorting to clamps and industrial glue to repair them. Just as I suspected at the outset, nice to look at, but the build quality and longevity of this product is extremely poor. Look elsewhere.

Replacement for old faithful
I bought one of these many years ago, but it has been chewed by my dog when he was a puppy, and is getting rickety. This replacement is good, but the wood feels weird. It feels like balsa wood and is very porous.Saying that, it went together really easily, it seems sturdy, and after a couple of coats of wood varnish, isn’t so porous. But old faithful is hard to replace!

Great value and solid construction plus very comfortable
Took advantage of the £60 price of this chair, always wanted a rocker.Put together with help of strong male arms. The use of bolts for majority of joins instead of screws made it easy to adjust the connections. I used a Phillips head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench to tighten the bolts. It was constructed in under half an hour.A good size for big to small people and a very comfortable seat. The wide arm rests give it a regal feel.It has a lovely smell too.Whilst it has been treated lightly for weather resistance, I have now ordered Teak Oil to protect it thoroughly.I bought a small table from True Shopping who despatch this chair. The little table is designed to match the chair and was not sold on Amazon. It matches the wood perfectly and serves as a handy side table.I'm so pleased with this rocker I am tempted to buy another.

Good for the price
Once assembled it’s quite nice for the price.instructions aren’t that good ,yet if you know someone who’s good at flat packs it’s worth buying ,if you don’t you may struggle ,but overall looks good ,sturdy ,and comfy ,as for weatherproof I don’t know as il be varnishing it anyway

I am very pleased with the result
I bought before reading all the reviews and then read after clicking buy and worried a bit. However even though the assembly instructions are limited and basic my 14 year old and I put it together in just over an hour using only a hand held screwdriver (crosshead ) and small spanner, and quite a lot of arm strength. I am very pleased with the result. It is comfy and supports head for total relaxation, and is very aesthetic. The colour is a rather bright unnatural yellowish orange but will weather and can be covered with wood protector.

An attractive, but expensive, garden chair.
Quite disappointed with this rocking chair. Expensive for what, in my opinion, is not the quality of material and build I expected. I compare it with a similar chair bought last year at half the price and from a different producer and unfortunately now currently unavailable. A very easy chair to put together although I'm having to make adjustments to the design to make it comfortable. The back of the chair seems to be just a little too upright but that said everyone has a differing seating preference.
