I like it but have found that running more than one camera, one keeps dropping out, this may well be user error as Ii am using it as a short term stop gap, so am pushing it to its limits as have very little time to look into set up of cameras using this. Even so I like the on off switches for each individual USB port that makes this very flexible so it allows ease of access to the rear USB ports of the main PC which is why I bought it. With one Camera everything is excellent, giving three more ports available for other use which all work well, except as said when trying to run two cameras. Note I am now running the two cameras on individual main PC USB ports and using the Aukru USB 3.0 Hub for everything else i,e other drives and it is doing this with out any problems transferring large Video files quickly and error free. Thank you fo a good piece of kit.

I thought I'd give this a go to try to solve my USB woes - intermittent signal loss on long cold nights when you really don't want to be faffing around resolving glitches. I strapped it to the leg of my EQ6R Pro and connected the mount plus three ZWO cameras to it (120MM/294MC/1600MM Pro with connected filter wheel and focuser). One cable to the laptop USB3 port and it works without fail. Don't forget you need to plug it in for it to work properly - without power it's just a normal USB hub. I just wish I had gone for the one with more ports - could do with one more for a game pad to control the mount

I bought this for two reasons. Firstly to place a USB port on the far side of the desk to the computer, secondly because my microphone pre-amp ( PreSonus AUDIOBOX96 ) needs a boost to broadcast via the USB2 interface.It is great. Selective power to devices, I can plug in a USB lamp and it works wonders without bothering the computer. The only problem comes when you try to plug in two more needy devices. The PreSonus AUDIOBOX96 fed an extremely noisy output to the PC when a Logitech webcam was plugged in; I have both a C920 and a C270, so whether it is specific to Logitech I do not know, but so far it was ONLY when those two webcams were plugged in. Keyboard and mouse, not a problem, a USB powered desk fan, fine, but not a webcam.

I am pleased with the product it does all that it claims. It is well made and very easy to use the charging point I use for the laptop cooling pad connection which relieves the laptop motherboard of this thereby taking the load off of the laptop. There is one thing to be aware of and that is that if you do not use the USB for a couple of hours the hub goes into stand by but it is easily brought back on line. So far I am very pleased with the purchase and will be purchasing another one.

The hub is essential you want to connect an exFat hard drive to your IOS13 iPad (with a camera adaptor), Good value for money, it worked straight out of the box. It allows unused devices to be switched off when not required. Obviously it's too early to give a long term opinion but so far I would recommend the product.

Good, solid unit with lengthy cable - only downside is the bright blue lights.

UPDATE MAY 2018OK So yesterday went to sleep watching a movie and I could see the 4 HDDs attached to this, woke up this morning and can only see 2 HDDs.I deleted the cache folders from the HDDs and reattached them. Of the two that I cannot see if i switch the one off then a third ones shows up, if i switch on the foruth one, both 3rd and 4th do not show up anymore. Was great when it worked. Annoying that i manually have to switch them on and off now rather than keep them on and see all 4 hard drives. Do not waste your time with this if you hope to have all 4 HDDS connected and on all the time. I use this on a Nvidia shield with movies backed up on the HDDs.MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN.ORIGINAL REVIEW.... (PLEASE SEE UPDATE ABOVEI have currently got a few HDDs with various DVDs and Blurays backed up for convenience. Having changed to an NVidia Shield and using that as a media player I wanted something to allow the kept the multiple HDDs connected without having to keep pulling the USB cable out from the back of the shield to swap between HDDs.I was sceptical whether this would work but it works brilliantly (so far)The blue leds are quite bright but I guess I can push the USB where it can’t be seen as I can leave the HDD switched on at the hub. The nvidia Shield sees all the HDDs without any issue.Great product works fine.Let’s see how long it lasts.
