Chaloner does it again!!
Another great historical romp with Chaloner and Co, it was nice too see him finally work with Thurloe. A great period in history brought to life by Susanna Gregory. Highly recommended by this reader, just have to wait patiently for the next one.

As always a great read
As opposed to other authors like CJ Swanson who take years between books Suzanna Gregory reliably publishes two exceptional novels a year. This story is of the normal high quality and I enjoyed it immensely, although it was a shame many of my favourite characters didn't appear (they were all hiding in oxford). It's a shame I will have to wait a year for the next one but I'm hoping there will be a Mathew Batholmew book in the summer!Keep up the good work

another good read
If you have not read a Chaloner story by Susanna Gregory it is worth the read. A very different character to her other set of books. again this was a good read took it on holiday as its easy to get through. As Chaloner is a spy who worked originally for Mr Thurlow you would believe that he would learn from his mistakes which is not always the case. Still an endearing character

Murder at St Pauls.
I did not enjoy this book, it was difficult to keep a track of all the suspects and impossible to narrow them down. The motive is rather nebulous. Susannah has written better tales.

Brilliant Story
Susanna Gregory has delivered again! A brilliant story with believable characters and plot. Keeps you guessing throughout the book, with twists and turns every chapter. An unputable down book!

Very good
Quite a good tale although a few too many suspects at times making a a bit confused. Would hope the next book returned more to the traditional Chaloner format, but enjoyed it anyway,End of review.

executioner of St Pauls
I enjoyed a fictionalised account of this period of history. It included a relative Fabian Stedman so I am interested in London and bellringing in that period. I appreciate the real research made from which I will benefit

12th in line
I have just finished reading the 12th in this series and have so enjoyed every one. The characters are so well drawn and cannot wait for Tom Chaloner to re-emerge he's great. How fantastic to combine real history into such mystery.

Saint Paul's Intrigue
I love Susanna Gregory's books and this one was no different. Great background reading of facts about London, my home town, and life after the Restoration.

Challenging
A difficult plot to follow at times but lots of London life during the plague that filled out the story.
