Great cards
These cards come in a nice storage box with a magnetic side to keep the lids on.The quality of the cards itself is very very good and the picture are very vibrant. The cards are split on to different categories but essentially they help with meditation. They are aimed at children so the instructions are easy to follow. Some of these are done by yourself and some with a partner or bigger group. Our eldest does a lot of mindfulness with us so these cards are perfect. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Truly beautiful cards
My grandson is a little bit too small to understand these messages, but I did want to get them for the future and I am so very glad of that. The designs are just gorgeous, and I would have some of them displayed simply for their beauty, but also, the messages and actions and suggestions are so lovely. I read loads last night and there was one where you ask the children to find items the colour of the rainbow, and I am going to do this tonight, print a rainbow picture and go find things in those colours. These are truly stunning cards, really pretty and so inviting in for children and adults alike. Worth the £16.99 at time of review 100%.

For children or adults
A good set of prompt cards for mindful activities with children or young people (or, indeed, adults, sincecthe activities are not all 'childish'). There are 15 'ice breaker' cards with simple games to play in a group, eg alphabet game, Simon says, I spy... There are 20 'visualisation cards', essentially guided meditations, each asking the listeners to imagine themselves in an environment and to focus on the sights, sounds and smells they might experience. All child and adult-suitable.Then there are 30 'mindful practice cards' describing activities designed to focus on what you can see, hear, touch or smell. Close observation of objects and body scans are included in several practices here, but also activities that consider gratitude, expression through art, positive affirmations etc. These are all very do-able activities and a good way for parents, teachers or youth group leaders to bring in short and effective mindful practices. Adults could also dip in and try them out!

Nice packaging for pseudoscience prompts
The box and packaging is of high quality and lovely. However, the cards with the prompts are absolute pseudoscience and it is unclear what qualifications the people have who wrote them. I do not think this is suitable for everyone and only some people might enjoy the exercizes.

I think children would need to be at least 8yrs old to appreciate some of these cards
These cards come in a good storage box to keep the cards in order when not being used.In the box you get an instruction card ,plus three different sets of cards , the first set are the 30 Mindful practice cards , the second set is 20 visualisation cards and finally 15 icebreaker cards. It took a while to sort them into the correct order, but easy to do so as the mindful cards are predominantly pink on the question side, the visualisation cards are pale green and the icebreaker cards are pale blue. All the cards are colourful and nicely illustrated .It is suggested you start by making sure the children taking part are sitting comfortably or even laying downThey then have to select a card from each category starting with mindful , transitioning onto visualisation and finally ice breakers .I did think the mindful cards would need a child to be at least 8yrs old to truly understand them, however the visual and ice breakers much easier to understand .These cards would suit a large group of children , for example a classroom or even a therapist class .The ice breaker and visual cards would be okay for a couple or a small group of children , however I feel the mindful cards would benefit from a larger class of slightly older children to really understand the questions .i am still working my way through some of the questions and I am impressed with what the game is trying to achieve and I think the cards would be good to relax and encourage children to use their minds.

65 Meditation Cards for Kids 8 - 10
Design and UsabilityOne of the first things that caught my attention was the vibrant and attractive design of the cards. Each card features colorful illustrations that appeal to kids, making them visually appealing and inviting for young users. The sturdy cardstock material ensures they can withstand the enthusiastic handling of children, ensuring durability over time. The set includes a variety of meditation techniques, including breathing exercises, visualization prompts, and gentle movement activities, all tailored for children ages 8 to 10. This age group is particularly suitable, as kids are starting to gain independence and can easily grasp the concepts presented through these cards.Content and StructureThe content is well thought out, with each card presenting a new meditation or mindfulness exercise that is brief yet effective. Most exercises are designed to take just a few minutes, making them accommodating for both children and busy parents. Each card includes clear instructions that are easy for kids to follow independently or with minimal guidance. Moreover, the cards are categorized by themes—such as calmness, focus, gratitude, and self-acceptance—which can help children explore different aspects of emotional well-being. This thematic organization not only aids in finding the right card for a specific mood or purpose but also encourages children to engage in reflection about their feelings and state of mind.Benefits and ImpactIntroducing meditation and mindfulness practices to children at a young age can have lasting positive effects on their emotional health and resilience. I noticed that using the cards as part of our daily routine helped my child develop a greater awareness of their emotions and how to manage them more effectively. The exercises promoted relaxation and concentration, making it easier for my child to engage in homework or calm down after a busy day. The cards also encouraged family bonding time, as we often selected a card together and practiced the exercises as a team.Suggestions for ImprovementWhile the card set is comprehensive and engaging, I would suggest incorporating a digital component. An accompanying app or online resource could provide audio guidance for the meditations, as well as additional activities to support deeper engagement.Additionally, while the cards cater to a specific age group, offering an expanded range for slightly younger or older children could broaden their appeal and usability across a wider audience.ConclusionOverall, the "65 Meditation Cards for Kids (Ages 8-10)" is a fantastic resource for parents and educators looking to introduce mindfulness practices to children. The thoughtful design, engaging content, and positive impact on emotional well-being make these cards a valuable addition to any household or classroom. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to foster a sense of peace, focus, and resilience in their children.

Nice gift for a child
I meditate daily. My son has seen me do it for years, and occasionally he will join me. I have tried to teach him a few different ways that I meditate, including apps, sound bowls, silence etc. I also read a meditation each morning. When I saw these, I thought they would be a perfect way for him to start his own meditation practice, and get into a morning or evening habit of reading a card. They are geared towards kids, so they are not long and keep it simple, but they offer lots of suggestions and guidance. Honestly, I will probably use them as well! The box is sturdy and really nice looking. This is going in my sons stocking, but I may buy a few more for gifts to keep on hand.

Wow ...
... a calming card deck. This is smart play for decompressing kids and it's designed really well, with engaging illustrations, colors, and words. Whether you're mending disappointments, trying to chill out, or letting go of your day, starting a mindful relaxation process at a young age ... that is just going to keep you sane out in the world. Honestly, where were these when I was little? A must for parents that are raising kids with intentionality and self-empowerment. QUOKKA gets a cyber hug from me!
