Works Just as Well as More Expensive Tools
Do your research, know what you're doing, be confident about it and this tool will do the job. Make sure your CPU is a member of a generation that uses thermal paste instead of solder as this tool is not intended for soldered CPUs. Watch a lot of videos and know exactly what you're doing before you go through with anything.I used this for my first delidding experience on my 8700K and it went flawlessly. With Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut under the IHS and Kryonaut on top of it I'm looking at 10-15 degree cooler temps under a high load. Take your time, go as slow and steady as possible on the wrench and the IHS will come right off. Have everything you need prepared ahead of time and be very careful when you're working on the exposed CPU die.4 stars because, like other reviewers have mentioned, you absolutely get machining debris with this. Make sure you detail-clean this thing before you put your CPU in it. Per some reviewer's recommendations, I put electric tape on the rails to protect the pads as well because the finish is far from perfect.

Gambled on a cheap one did the job
Pre greased was a nice touch . There was some imperfections in the threading so it might have. Been a one use product for Me... if ur on the fence about deliding. Dont . 30deg drop instantly with grizzly liquid metal ... nuts. Sadly my chip still won’t go over 4.5 but it’s really helped my bottleneck running a devils canyon cpu. Infact I just tested this delid agains my new 11600k build and they got literally the same FPS in uniheaven ... swear. That pc also feels snappier ocd than the new 11600k... doesn’t make sense but is what it is.Don’t get me wrong get a 11400f or 11600k now if any of this relates to you...It’s finally a descent upgrade and for not much money . It’s very clear the 11th gens are crushing it in multi tasking ... I can’t seem to bog mine downI HAVE DONE TWO 11 builds one 11400f and b board and the 11600k with z board. In recommendation the prior.... hands down. Intel squeezed as much clocks as they can out of these 11th gen chips there is little to no oc headroom. The 11400f actually oc better . Even on a b board . So yea for like lower 200$ 1440f with b series board can’t beat it ...

You don't need an overpriced expensive tool to get the job done.
Delidded a 8700k without any problem, although I was sweating a bit. I've heard of contact pads being peeled or scratched and I recommend using some electric or painters tape underneath the CPU as a precautionary measure. Seriously. You don't want to injure your $300-500 CPU.Also delidding is not solely for overclocking. In my case I was running an ITX build and saw my chip running toastier than my liking. Replacing Intel's stock toothpaste with a proper Liquid Metal made a whole world of difference and now my build isn't cooking my CPU to death. (Remember kids, the hotter your CPU runs, the shorter lifespan it lives.)Only con is that I won't recommend this for soldered CPUs. There's a lot better (albeit, pricier) delidding tools out there specifically designed for soldered CPUs without risking any damage to your precious expensive CPU.

Works well, just inspect beforehand
I was cautious about the device because I'd read reviews of metal shavings and cracks in the frame. When I received mine it wasn't in bad shape and had few shavings. I just blew it off with compressed air and wiped it with a microfiber cloth to be sure.It worked awesome, just I required more torque than I was willing to give on the small allen wrench. I used a larger right angle screw driver with an allen bit that allowed me to go slower and have it slide off as it got tighter instead of just cracking the paste/silicon loose at once.Overall a great tool for the price, but as everything cheap and made in China it requires your diligence to be used properly without damaging anything else.

Put some scotch tape on those rails!
It works great and easily delids a cpu in less than 5 minutes. I recommend putting something like scotch tape or thin packing tape on the rails before putting in your cpu if you want to make sure you don't scratch your contacts. Just as good as the overpriced competition for a fraction of the cost and so easy to use a novice could get in to delidding. If you look at my photos you can see where the tape is supposed to go. I put a coat of nail polish over the caps on the cpu so I can safely use liquid metal thermal paste inside without having to worry about a short circuit.

First one broken, got refund and replacement awesome company
Was very excited to receive this opened the packaged and the frame of it is cracked all the way through. Horrible quality. Don't even know if I'm gonna use it and it was cheap in price so probably just gonna throw it in the garbage. Would be nice to get one that isn't broken..(Edit): I was contacted by the company who issued me a full refund and have said I should receive a replacement as well. I'm really hoping the new one comes intact so I can use it I have 3chips that I want to delid lol. (Edit2) 5stars company has been very helpful. Received a refund and replacement that works great. Thank you Owltree

Does exactly what you expect it to.
The media could not be loaded. Worked great! I have a few goofs in the video but it shows how I did everything. If you have a CPU that has fresh adhesive (mine was from 2014 so glue was quite old) it may take more pressure than this tool can handle. That may be why some of the reviewers earlier were complaining about stripped threads.MAINTENANCE WARNING! If you delid your CPU, you will need to regularly remove the old and re-apply new thermal compound to your delided CPU. Once a year should be good enough. The factory thermal compound was designed to last a long time and the trade off for that is poorer thermal conductivity.

Worked without any problems.
Purchase date: May 31, 2020.This review date: June 6, 2020.It did what it was supposed to without damaging the CPU. I heated the CPU with a lighter (about 30 seconds) and then tightened/turned the unit. The cover came off easily. It's also reusable if you need to use it again. I would recommend this unit for the price.Note! - This unit did not come with razor blades, like similar models being sold. I would advise you not to use them. You can damage yourself and the CPU.

Unsure, but I'm out an i7 7700K
It definitely felt janky, but it got the lid off. However, the scraper tool (flexible razor) that was included was the wrong tool for clearing glue. However, it was required to get at the glue prior to the tool successfully taking off the lid, so for that, I'm giving it two stars. The rest is probably on me.

DEAL
Great price, fast delivery. Looks and feels cheap as hell, but very effective and safe. Easily reusable for any CPU with a lip on its heatspreader. Tested on delidding i7 3770k.You shouldn't be able to strip the hex screw with the hex wrench if you apply adequate pressure. Comes with 2 razor blades as a bonus, not that they are needed (use a plastic card and alcohol to clean up the sealant residue after delidding).

Works just as good as the expensive ones for half the price.
This took the lid off my 8700K with no problems. The only downside is there is no way to clamp the IHS back onto the die to glue it back together. That being said temps are way better without re-gluing it anyway.

Allen Key may bend from pressure - dont worry it will hold !
At first glance it looks well constructed aluminum very well designed a shame no instructions included indicating to put the processors transistors facing down into the center rectangle. Overall it solved the issue with my processor i was able to successfully delid it and get it working to my expectations. Will definitely recommend this to someone else.

It works
I tried it on my i7-4770 cpu and it works perfect.....never done this before...used u-tube videos to watch how it works.....great tool and a lot less money than others.
