Not sure if 7 bucks is a fair price for this tiny cap / guard for my new Philips Norelco 9000 series shaver. It certainly isn't a whole lot of money but still...My point is, every shaver should have come with this invaluable piece of gear.Unfortunately, mine didn't...!I got the Costco special which contains the 9000 series shaver, a protective case, charger, sideburns and beard trimmer and one extra replacement shaving head for 150 bucks. It was an extra 50 off of the 200 regular Costco price, and considering the replacement shaving head costs about 60 to 70 bucks I thought this was a very good price for the kit. But I was not expecting this kit to come sans this protective plastic cover.I'm very grateful Amazon carried this at a decent price. Two day Prime delivery was also very good.I certainly recommend this product to anyone looking to protect their shaving head.

Got this one to replace the original one that broke some time ago. I am planning on starting to do a little traveling and thought I'd better get a protective cover so the expensive RQ12's don't get damaged. Besides the RQ12 head, my actual old shaver is a SensoTouch #D model 1260X. According the operating manual that I still have all these models take the same RQ12 shaving heads and therefore this plastic shaving head protector this review is for fits all the models listed in the headline above

I'm not sure why Norelco decided to not include this usual standard accessory with it's top-of-the-line razor, but I was glad to find this one here on Amazon. It fits the Prestige perfectly. My only brief disappointment was that it was difficult to remove, resulting in the top of the head assembly coming off with it. Quickly realized that you're supposed to slide it on and off rather than just pushing it directly on and pulling it off.

I initially thought I’d give this item a rating of 1-2 because it was a great concept but poorly designed. I had pushed the protector over the shaving head and tried to pull it off but instead of just temoving the protector, I removed the top of the shaving head too! After a week of use I discovered that you ‘slide’ it on from the front to back and conversely ‘slide’ it off from back to front! Changed my total judgement of the product.

Fits perfectly the Philips/Norelco series 9000, with a click.Note that the cover has to be slid in rather than pushed on top.

This fits perfectly for the new 9000 series Prestige electric razors.

If it’s not the original, sure looks like and fits like the original.
