Does the job alright. For the price, I can recommend this product.
In this review I am going to mention what I liked and what I didn’t like about Bodum Travel Press - Black Colour.Price:The price is quite reasonable for a travel mug. Given that you are also provided with a normal lid that you could also use.Quality:The quality of the cup is fair. I mean given the price point, you get what you pay for. The stainless steel provides good insulation from heat, you don’t actually have to hold the cup on the sleeve.Temp?I am a slow coffee drinker. I like to take my time in drinking and this cup lets the coffee stay hot or even lukewarm for hours.Coffee-grounds?If you hate the crunching coffee beans or the taste of coffee grounds, you won’t be disappointed. It is until you reach the very end that you’d taste that.Leak-proof?We need to agree that this is not a flask. The lid might not be up to the quality level that I would have expected but it is fine. It will only leak if you fill the cup to the lid, otherwise, it wouldn’t leak easily. The hole in the lid is necessary due to the possibility of over-pressuring.Origin:Not mentioned but I can guess it being manufactured in China.I used Bodum products for a long time, mostly, they are manufactured in Europe; so, I was kinda disappointed. (In case you are wondering, yes, I do care a lot about where the product is manufactured ).~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Pros:Good Heat Insulation. Coffee stays warm for hours. Good quality stainless steel. Reasonable coffee filtration.Cons:The rubber seal falls off easily so you need to be careful with it. In essence, the main issue is with the lid.**** (But it does the job) ****Overall:For a fair priced and decent quality product I can recommend this product. You can surely find other products, but the price will be higher.

Grounds for great coffee every time!
I work away a lot and do like a good cup of ground coffee, but visiting coffee shops is expensive!I was looking for a 'Thermos' type mug and had one that was OK, but I had to use a cafetiere to make it first so finding this one seemed a perfect solution as it has the cafetiere built into the lid.I read the reviews with trepidation though with a lot of complaints about leaking lids, but many more positive reviews outweighed them so I went for it.4 months in and it's been nothing but brilliant - the lid issue has not manifested itself, it seals perfectly, but the hinged lid will leak slightly if the cup is tipped, but that is mentioned in the literature that it comes with; this isn't a watertight seal on this part. The issue with the main seal, in my opinion, is down to the silicone rubber seal slipping out of its groove and preventing the lid from compressing it correctly. This isn't a problem, it just needs to be rolled back in place - it's simply a rubber 'O' type gasket so it's obviously designed as a replaceable wear part.So the coffee making side of things - spot on! I put in ground coffee to my own taste and let it brew - some comments about how to get the milk in seems to be a problem though, trying to pour it through the sipping hole and so forth.I can't see why the coffee can't be stirred and left to brew, then the milk added and the lid then placed on and the press applied - it works for me!Best of all, it comes with two lids, so if you do fancy a 'posh' one from a high street outlet, take the cup in with the non plunging lid and away you go - plus you get a discount for not using a plastic lined paper cup and do your bit to save the planet at the same time.Cleaning is easy but the threads and sipping lid covers can need an occasional scrub with a brush to remove and staining. I also noticed the stainless steel lining can pick up stains after a while - I gave mine a quick spruce up by filling it with some boiling water and a dash of kettle descaler and it came up like new.The issue with tainted flavours from the cup are not evident either - well, not on the cup I have. I'd recommend this cup all day long!
